I'm traveling to Croatia – Travel advice, anyone?
So this summer I will travel to Croatia. I planned this trip just 2 days ago and I'm in less then two weeks. I've been looking around online, but I can not decide where to go in Croatia (all seems so big). I am a woman of 25 years and the culture of love, beaches and adventure. Any suggestions or travel tips? I will stay in Croatia anywhere between a few days to a few weeks. Furthermore, prior that Croatia will be in Venice. I can not decide if I want to take the ferry from Venice or the train. The train would make more sense because I have an Inter-Rail Pass, but my boyfriend I really wanted to take the ferry. It looks like some kind of discount with my Inter-Rail pass (unlike ferry routes). What I just look around online at the website of Inter-Rail (I just could not miss it). Any person doing this route with a rail pass and received a discount? Any suggestions for the cheap ferries? I can not seem to find anything below € 75. Thanks!
Not sure about the travel bit of Venice, but without certainly can advise on Croatia. I've been 3 times and I love it. I've been further south, I'm myself again in a couple of weeks and this time going north, flying in Zadar and will to Bol, Split, Korcula and Dubrovnik. I am in myself beaches and the great thing about Croatia is that you can find your own private beach. The coast is dotted by small stunning coves and snorkelling fish everywhere. Sandy beaches, not too much but something like that, you do not get sand everywhere. I would recommend the hiring a scooter to travel outside the cities to find the best beaches. I have not been but it sounds like Hvar is the most lively, full of bars and clubs. I'm using public transport on this occasion and the buses and trains are common among most of the destinations. Here is a link to buses from Split http://www.ak-split.hr/EN and the ferry link between the islands http://www.jadrolinija.hr There are plenty of pensions in Dubrovnik, but if it is August, when you go, I suggest you book in advance because it is very popular. I could go ahead with the advice to Croatia so if you have more questions let me know.
