Best way to experience the coast of Croatia?
We will have 11 days to see as much as possible from Dubrovnik. I know that 11 days is the way short, so I want to cover only 3 places. I was thinking of Dubrovnik – 3 days, Brac (Bol) – 4 days and Korcula (Korcula City) – 4 days. How does this sound? What are the best ways to reach the islands? Do I have to drive all the way to Split? Finally, where do we stay? The hotels are so few and expensive. All good hosting sites will be greatly appreciated.
I just transported all over the place … I had 6 days, so I am jealous of reach to see more! Anyway wise accommodation along the coast there are many private places for accommodation ….. make sure you are registered you can get quite a heavy fine for staying in the same whether you are affected by the "tourist police" (I met someone who did! was about $ 100US) … I paid about € 20 per night in Dubrovnik and Split and Zadar and more Zargreb (where they stayed in hotels). The coastline is beautiful all the way …. took about 4 hours from Dubrovnik Split on the bus on the main road ", so you can give an estimate of the time …. It all depends on how much you want to see. I know there are boats going to go see the islands as well and may be worth. I like Split, a city look so good …. but I think if you want a good relaxing with a slow pace is yours well, but I think that would be easily Dubrovnik 2 days its not as big as … and that is one of the greatest places around.
