How can I learn to be a Dutch translator English?
I have a QTS which is equivalent to a bachelor's degree in education and speak English and Dutch fluently. Does anyone know a quick way to becoming a translator, perhaps through learning at home or something similar, not as I prefer having to go to college / university again.
Most training of translators, because translation is not necessarily easy, even if you are fluent in both languages: it is not always clear how to translate things, some translation work involves technical terms that you might not know, or you may need to review their writing skills in one or both languages. However, there is translation work on the lower level that is not necessarily expected translation of specific training (despite having a college degree help). And you can work your way from there. You could try less technical, less intensive jobs of writing, for example. – Translation of subtitles for movies – "localization tester" for video games both of these fields should have the job of translating English into Dutch (and the film may have some Dutch to English)
