Usually, an attempt to try to keep pace and the same level of excitement as the original speaker. Often, their meaning does not involve only the words we say but by the "form" that we say. We raise our voice to show enthusiasm, or lower his voice in his ear to get attention, or use words very emphatic to make a point. A good interpreter will not only repeat "word for word" but also try to bring the same tone and color in his words as the original speaker. otherwise it ends up being a boring, monotonous conference.
