Can someone find a job in Calgary Alberta (Canada) knowing nothing of English / French?
Hi there, I have a person that recently went to Calgary Canada and thinks that can find a job over there. Is there any opportunity for this person since it does not know anything of French Español rules but only Spanisch? Thanks, any advise is appreciated.
English and French are both national languages of Canada. however, in all provinces except Quebec and New Brunswick, español is the primary working language. Right now there is an extreme labor shortage in Calgary so language skills do not really count much for the labor / trades types of jobs. So long as your friend can communicate some basic stuff in English…he / she should be fine. For jobs that require good communication skills, there will be problems.
