Rip Proof

How can I make my wall in a duplex shared the strongest evidence, without tearing the wall?
I do not want to destroy the walls as I rent. Is there anything I can put my side of the shared wall to absorb some noise? Please help, I have a neighbor who complains about my son being too loud at night, I do not know what to do! Mind that this is in the rooms so you should be good.
First .. discuss with your landlord and either by him / Arraga or she agrees that it (assuming you have the skills). First some facts. The soundproofing is really a matter of cutting low frequency (bass) transmission. Highs and midrange are relatively easy (basically seal the room and you are). Low cut demand the untying of the inner surface of the other party so that the sound is not transmitted through the wall or softening of the wall by adding mass (or both). Since the wall already exists and there are limitations on what can be done practically have to recognize that it can not completely soundproof … but can improve the situation. Despite recognizing The following would be no difference in sound transmission through the floor or ceiling! One option is to place a new layer of plaster over the existing surface with elastomeric glue. One such product is called Green Glue (See first link for details and test results). A second option is the use of elastic Sound isolation clips and furring strips of metal with a fresh coat of plaster on them. See second link details and test results. Basically, both the tail green and RSI Clips "are used to separate the new wall surface of the existing wall. The outer edge of the wall surface in any new approach must be sealed with a non-hardening elastomeric caulking (Read labels carefully to your local hardware or building supply store). And of course, the new drywall will have to be taped and sanded then painted. Sounds complicated, I know … but the other suggestions provide only marginal improvements. You should be able to convince his owner that the cost would be an investment in both good relations / tenant satisfaction and the future of advertising purposes … and if maybe I should not move.
