Sometimes the review process by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs can be quite long. The reason for any delay lies in the fact that in its review process, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs involving the Ministry of Justice of Croatia and local government offices where real estate in which a foreign national is interested in purchasing is located.

Deposits are commonly required when executing the original contract for the purchase of real property. The deposit generally is in the amount of 10% of the total cost of the property. When problems approval by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, when running the final contract, the buyer will be responsible for paying the balance due and owing to the purchase price of real estate subject.
